CHILD EASTERN CATHOLIC FORMATION (ECF): William Bridges has the lead for this year’s ECF program and has put together a notional program. Please contact him if you would like your children to attend and/or if you are interested in teaching a particular age group. The first few lessons will be held after Divine Liturgy in the pews. We have a large variety of ages which will require the kids to be broken into age groups. Any help is greatly appreciated.
KOLACHI BAKING DAY: We will have our next kolachi baking day in preparation for the fall festival next Sunday, September 22nd. All are welcome to help roll and bake kolachi following Divine Liturgy. If you don’t know how to bake them, we will teach you.
PARISH WORK DAYS: On the third Saturday of every month, we will have a parish work day to maintain the church and care for the parish grounds. The next one will be held on October 19th. Please save the date on your calendar. Although our Labor Day work day was mostly a wash-out, thank you to all who came to help anyway.
A MEMORIAL FOR JOSEPH FELIX will be held on Wednesday, September 18th: 1:30 pm interment of cremains at Star of the Sea Parish Columbarium (1404 Pacific Ave Virginia Beach, VA 23451). A memorial Divine Liturgy will be held at 5:30 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
ETERNAL MEMORY: Former long-time parishioner William NAGY, father of Jason Nagy, reposed in the Lord on September 2. His funeral was held on Saturday, September 7th, in Berwick, PA. Blessed Repose and Eternal Memory.
