When receiving Holy Communion, approach Fr. Alex telling him your name, tilt back your head, and widely open your mouth (no need to extend your tongue). Father will distribute the Eucharist with a one-use wooden spoon.

SCHEDULING LITURGIES: If you have an occasion to give thanks: graduation from school, a birthday or a special anniversary, or if you have a special need or want to remember parents or family members who have gone before us, Liturgy would be a great opportunity to do so. Please see Father Alex or Reader Joe to schedule.
UKRAINE RELIEF: Please consider donating to our second collection for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. The money will be sent there to care for refugees and for all the people there who are suffering from effects of the war. Please leave your donations in the collection plate on the table in the Narthex or include in your Sunday offering envelope, indicating the amount.
FEAST OF THE ASCENSION is celebrated this Thursday. On Wednesday evening, May 8th, Father Alex will celebrate Divine Liturgy at 6:00 PM. Our sister parish, Ascension Byzantine Catholic Church in Williamsburg will have Divine Liturgy on Thursday morning at 8:30 am.
MONTHLY PARISH BREAKFAST: Our monthly parish breakfast will be held today after Divine Liturgy in the parish hall. All are welcome!

SPIRITUAL RETREAT: Ascension parish in Williamsburg will be having a Spiritual Retreat Receive and Give The Gift That You Are on Saturday May 11, 2024 9am to 4pm. The guest speaker is Maria Ivaniv Lonchyna, a Ph.D. candidate at Regis St. Michael's Faculty of Theology in Toronto School of Theology (Canada). Registration fee is $30 and includes prayer, lectures, discussion groups, Panera box lunch, Divine Liturgy (Mass) and opportunity for confession
