When receiving Holy Communion, approach Fr. Alex telling him your name, tilt back your head, and widely open your mouth (no need to extend your tongue). Father will distribute the Eucharist with a one-use wooden spoon.

CHILD EASTERN CATHOLIC FORMATION (ECF): William Bridges has the lead for this year’s ECF program and has put together a notional program. Please contact him if you would like your children to attend and/or if you are interested in teaching a particular age group. The first few lessons will be held after Divine Liturgy in the pews. We have a large variety of ages which will require the kids to be broken into age groups. Any help is greatly appreciated. In case you missed it, there is an offering envelope for religious education materials included with last Sunday’s envelopes. Please donate a couple dollars if you can.
PIZZA AND MOVIE NIGHT: To kick-off the new church year, we will be having a monthly pizza and movie night on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. This Tuesday, September 10th , we will be showing Star Wars at 6:30 pm. Pizza slices will be $1 each and popcorn is free. Please see Jim Fitzgibbons if you have any questions or suggestions. All are welcome!
KOLACHI BAKING DAY – We will have our next kolachi baking day in preparation for the fall festival tentatively on September 22nd. All are welcome to help roll and bake kolachi following Divine Liturgy. If you don’t know how to bake them, we will teach you.
PARISH WORK DAYS – On the third Saturday of every month, we will have a parish work day to maintain the church and care for the parish grounds. The next one will be held on October 19th. Please save the date on your calendar. Although our Labor Day work day was mostly a wash-out, thank you to all who came to help anyway.
ETERNAL MEMORY: Former long-time parishioner William NAGY, father of Jason Nagy, reposed in the Lord on September 2. His funeral will be was held on Saturday, September 7th, in Berwick, PA. Blessed Repose and Eternal Memory.
