72nd Holy Dormition Pilgrimage

The Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate warmly invite the faithful of Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish to join them for the 72nd Annual Holy Dormition Pilgrimage in Sloatsburg, New York, on Saturday and Sunday, August 15–16, 2026.

In a letter to Fr. Alex the Sisters state:

"This year's pilgrimage theme is:

"Mary, Our Queen and Loving Mother, Shelter Your Children in Times of War and Injustice."

In a world burdened by conflict, uncertainty, and suffering, we gather beneath the loving mantle of the Mother of God to seek her powerful intercession for peace, healing, justice, and hope. We invite pilgrims of every age to come together in prayer, worship, and fellowship as we entrust our families, our Church, and our world to her maternal care.

Throughout the weekend, pilgrims will have the opportunity to participate in the Divine Services, receive the Holy Mysteries, pray the Akathist to the Mother of God, take part in the Blessing of Water, and join in the traditional candlelight procession. The pilgrimage also offers spiritual enrichment through inspiring homilies, opportunities for Confession, and fellowship with clergy and faithful from across our Byzantine Catholic communities."
